Volunteering Opportunities

Bridge Ambassadors are volunteers who engage people with the two iconic structures that connect Devon and Cornwall - the Tamar Bridge and the Royal Albert Bridge.

You could be giving guided tours of the Tamar Bridge, welcoming visitors as they stop off at our Learning Centre on their way to Cornwall, or inspiring children on a school trip.

I am able to contribute at my level, while opportunities also exist for me to expand my contribution where possible. Staff are supportive and I always leave feeling glad I came!

There's an incredible story to be told, covering both bridges. I get a great satisfaction from doing the talks, and would encourage anyone to take part.

I think the volunteer group is worked and run to a very high standard and I always feel part of the team and valued.

I enjoy living where I do and my family are historically linked to the river and it's past. Volunteering has broadened my local knowledge in an enjoyable way.
