Bubble Bike Boogie – Family Drop in Session

Bubble bike boogie with Blystra - Generate electricity using pedal power! By pedalling on our bikes, you can see how electricity is produced and just how powerful it can be. Try powering bubble machines or household appliances like a hairdryer or a food mixer. The pedal power kit has been developed by Blystra Arts and is a fun way of learning about energy. Suitable for ages 7 – 70.

Make and Take Puppet Workshop

Spend an enjoyable hour creating your own puppet to take away as a keepsake or a gift. You could make a Mr Brunel puppet or something from your own imagination with artist Fliss Shillingford from Creative Workshops. All materials are provided.

Each session is one hour and £5.00 per child. One accompanying adult per child for the whole session (adults are free, ticket required).

Bridging the Tamar – Tamar Bridge Guided Bridge Tour

This hour long tour will walk from the Visitor and Learning Centre across the Tamar Bridge to the Saltash end of the bridge. Along the way you will discover how the Royal Albert bridge was constructed, construction features of the Tamar Bridge and much more about the local history of the area. With stunning views of the river Tamar along the way. At the end of the tour you will be free to visit Saltash (car parking at the Bridge car park is for 4 hours) or return with the guide to the Devon bank and visit the Visitor and Learning Centre.
Warm clothing and sturdy footwear are advised.

Adults £5.00. Children under 16 free

Join our volunteer tour guide to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes at the Tamar Bridge. You'll go inside the anchorage and see an area normally closed to the public.
Tour lasts approx 1 hour and 30 minutes. Booking essential.
