Drop In Family Water Wise Activities with BRIC

Event

Join the BRIC team at the Visitor Centre for some fun activities that will slow the flow.

The Building Resilience in Communities (BRIC) Team aim to support residents and local communities, businesses and community groups, and in fact anyone who is interested in helping our towns, cities and villages adapt to our changing climate. It’s evident now that we are getting more rainfall and with this, an increase in flood risk.

Join them for activities that will highlight some of the problems we all face. This would involve their Surface Water Simulator activity which has been successful at the centre before, and our new Water Wise collage activity. The Water Wise activity highlights different ways of re-using collected rainwater from a water butt – such as watering plants and washing cars, windows and more.

BRIC (Building Resilience in Communities) are part of a project funded by DEFRA and the Environment Agency to manage Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes.
