Bridging the Tamar Anchorage and Under Bridge Tour

Join us behind the scenes to see the Tamar Bridge in a brand new way- from inside the anchorage and underneath the Bridge.

Join our engineer and volunteer tour guide to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes at the Tamar Bridge. You'll go inside the anchorage and under the bridge to see an area normally closed to the public.

Tour lasts approx 2 hours. Booking essential.

Fully booked
Saturday 18th May @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
£20

The tour starts in the Visitor and Learning Centre before walking onto the structure and then to the walkway. This gives visitors a unique insight into the complex engineering from the walkways under the bridge. The tour will then descent steps to one of the bridge’s anchorage chambers. These areas are not accessible to the public but are vital to the structure.

Due to the nature of the walkways under the bridge this tour is for over 18s only.

Given the nature of the location of the anchorage (an enclosed space with steep steps) and the underbridge walkways, we may not be able to meet certain specific accessibility requirements. Please get in touch if you would like more information on this.

We have limited spaces so booking is essential.
