Three Rivers themed workshops for Home Educated Families

Join Seadream Education for this series of workshops specially developed for Bridging the Tamar to support the science & geography curriculums of home educated families. Over 3 sessions families will take inspiration from the Tamar River to explore many different aspects of the river through these interactive workshops.

All sessions run from 1:30-3:30pm

Week 1: Tuesday, 19th May - River Ecology: Life in the Tamar
Explore habitats, food webs, and key species
Hands-on identification activities
Link to biodiversity and conservation.

Week 2: Tuesday, 2nd June - Water Quality & Monitoring
Investigate what makes a "healthy river"
Practical water testing (pH, turbidity, indicators)
Introduce real-world environmental monitoring

Week 3: Tuesday, 9th June - From River to Estuary
Understand how rivers connect to estuaries & seas
Explore human impact, climate change and sustainability
Link to local industries and communities

This workshop has been developed for children aged 7-13 years old, but we leave it up to parents/guardians to decide if this is likely to be suitable for their child and attendance is open for all ages.

Children over 8 years old may attend the session without an adult, but will require a consent form to be completed via electronic form prior to the session.

Children under 8 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult throughout the sessions.

Price £20 per person total for all 3 sessions (All adults required to accompany children under 8, and any adults who wish to accompany children during sessions must purchase a ticket as space in the workshop area is limited)
